Can felons get small business loans?

The Small Business Administration (SBA) may give loans to felons, but it depends on the felony. They won’t give a loan to a business where the owner has a conviction for crimes of ‘moral turpitude’. The SBA have 6 different loan programs – SBA 7, CDC, Line of Credit loan, Export loan, Disaster loan and Microloan.

Can a convicted felon get a PPP loan?

The exception is for convictions of a felony involving fraud, bribery, embezzlement, or a false statement in a loan application. If an owner was convicted of any of those crimes in the previous five years, the business would be ineligible for a PPP loan.
