The creditor must acknowledge your complaint, in writing, within 30 days after receiving it, unless the problem has been resolved. The creditor must resolve the dispute within two billing cycles (but not more than 90 days) after getting your letter.

How long does it take to get money back from unauthorized charges?

If you report a fraudulent transaction, your bank has to investigate the charges and refund your money within 10 days. Your bank can extend the investigation timeline to 45 days if you receive provisional credit of a refund within 10 days of making your claim.

How long does it take to dispute a bank statement?

This depends on the customer and the transaction. If the customer is a consumer and the transaction is subject to Regulation E, the consumer has sixty days from the day the statement is delivered reflecting the transactions to file a claim under the Error Resolution procedures of Section 205.11 of the regulation.
