Getting your birth control implant — also called Nexplanon — can cost anywhere between $0 and $1,300. But the good news is that implants are totally free (or low cost) with most health insurance plans, Medicaid, and some other government programs.

Merck offers a clinical training program that your doctor must complete before they an administer Nexplanon. Make sure your doctor has completed this training so you do not have to go elsewhere to seek treatment.
